Sen. Sharon Runner

[Sen. Sharon Runner] – Each month I recognize exceptional business owners around my District by highlighting a “Business of the Month.” If you would like to nominate a business for future honors, please call my Antelope Valley office at (661) 729-6232.

Salt Creek Grille has been providing the Santa Clarita Valley with an excellent dining experience for nearly 17 years. Even more impressive than their delicious cuisine is owner Greg Amsler’s heart for his community.

This past Holiday Season, Salt Creek Grille partnered with Ethan Dettenmaier of Combat Radio to host their fourth annual “Breakfast with Santa.” The restaurant donated food and staff donated their time to serve breakfast to homeless and needy families. The event also included free toys and a visit with Santa.

In addition to his work at Salt Creek Grille, Greg volunteers his time with the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation, the SCV Boys and Girls Club, the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and the SCV Child and Family Center.

Thank you, Greg for your contributions to the 21st Senate District. It is an honor to recognize Salt Creek Grille as my January 2016 Business of the Month.

This recognition is totally deserved. In 2012, when we held the Vietnam Traveling Wall event at Valencia’s Town Center, a number of restaurants provided meals for our volunteers who worked the 4 day event. Greg promptly stepped up and made a huge contribution of purely excellent chow for our entire crew. Greg Amsler is a great American!
