Seven Santa Clarita Artists Association members have been accepted to the “Sinister Shadows and Seductive Shade” exhibition at La Galeria Gitana in San Fernando. The opening artists’ reception will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 pm.

SCAA members: Jerry Cowart (photography), Jane Dietz (acrylic), Hector Fernandez (scratchboard), Olga Kaczmar (oil), Patty O’Hearn (oil), Susana Petrovit (sculpture), and Norma Warden (photography).

The artshow will run from Oct. 10 to Nov. 20. Forty-five artists will provide artwork ranging from Dia de los Muertos, macabre and surreal to the cool and comforting shelter that shade provides us on a hot day.

La Galeria Gitana is located on 120 N Maclay Ave., Ste. E, San Fernando. Parking is available in the rear. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 818-898-7708.
