Continuing our ongoing partnership with the community to address public safety concerns, a proactive patrol was conducted Thursday night in the unincorporated area of Castaic by a team of 11 deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Prevention Unit, COBRA team, and Patrol, accompanied by a sergeant.
The four-hour operation was conducted to address community concerns over thefts, narcotic use and quality of life issues.
One of the areas targeted included restaurants, gas stations, a truck stop, and motels that are all in relatively close proximity to the I-5 freeway.
During the operation, deputies conducted at least 25 traffic stops and made numerous contacts with individuals they encountered, ensuring the message of public safety was relayed to everyone they spoke with, including community members.
Please remember, if you see something, say something. Help us stop criminals from jeopardizing our community safety.
