The Canyon football team will look to even its record against Burbank tonight at Harry Welch Stadium.

The Cowboys won their first game of the season last week against Eastside.

Burbank is 2-0 and coming off a 15-14 win over Bell.

SCV Sports Roundup

The Valencia football team, ranked No. 3 in the CIF Southern Section West Valley Division, plays Highland at home tonight. Valencia lost to Chaminade last week and is 1-1.

The Hart football team, ranked No. 9 in the West Valley Division, is on the road against Muir tonight. Hart won its first game of the season last week over Paraclete.

The Saugus football takes on Ventura at College of the Canyons. Saugus won its first game of the season over Buena last week.

The West Ranch football team is at Thousand Oaks. West Ranch beat Knight from Lancaster for its first win of the season.

In the major leagues, the Dodgers beat the Cubs, 8-4, in Chicago. The Dodgers scored five runs in the seventh inning to win the game.

The Cubs led 4-1 before the Dodgers rallied in the seventh.

The Dodgers have a 2 ½ game lead over the Giants in the National League West standings.

Game 2 of the series against the Cubs is today.

Clayton Kershaw starts for the Dodgers. He is going for his 20th win of the season. The Cubs counter with Edwin Jackson.

First pitch is at 11:20 this morning.

COC Women’s Soccer Takes Unbeaten Streak into Playoffs

College of the Canyons Women's Soccer pushed its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 2-1 road victory over Antelope Valley College on Nov. 12, and followed that with a 3-0 win over LA Valley College on Nov. 15. That has the Lady Cougars riding an eight-game unbeaten streak as the team prepares for Round 1 of the 3C2A SoCal Regional playoffs.

Rodriguez’ Kick Lifts No. 12 Canyons past No. 14 Bakersfield 27-24

Lady Mustangs Head to Championship in Women’s Volleyball

In a tense three sets that found The Master's University's women's volleyball team having to come from behind, the No. 1-seeded Lady Mustangs defeated the No. 4-seed Embry-Riddle Eagles 25-22, 26-24, 25-17 to win the semifinals of the GSAC Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament Tuesday night, Nov. 12 in The MacArthur Center.
