Gregg Hurwitz
The Santa Clarita Public Library invites residents to attend an evening with Gregg Hurwitz, author of Don’t Look Back, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Valencia Library, located at 23743 W. Valencia Boulevard.
Sponsored and presented by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library, Hurwitz will discuss his newly-released novel Don’t Look Back (published in August), as well as his experiences as a New York Times bestselling comic book writer. In his career, Hurwitz has written 14 novels and has penned stories for Marvel (Wolverine, Punisher) and DC (Batman, Penguin). Hurwitz will be available for questions and autographs and light refreshments will be served.
Beginning on Monday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. and continuing through Monday, Sept. 29, at 10:30 a.m., the Friends of Santa Clarita Library will host a book auction at all branches, including Canyon Country, Old Town Newhall and Valencia. A selection of rare and collectible books will be available for purchase at auction prices and all proceeds benefit the Santa Clarita Public Library.
