A couple of years ago, ARTree applied for a community grant allowing them to introduce a project called Flutterby that was a concept that Kay Kaminski introduced. This project brought children, accompanied by their parents to ARTree and allowed them to participate in art projects that ARTree conducted at Studio one and Studio two. It was extremely successful among families throughout all of Santa Clarita.
September 9th the program starts its second season of providing this wonderful art activity. As we grow, we are introducing new teachers, and volunteer helpers that have given their time and talents to ARTree.
We would like to know if you are interested in volunteering as a teacher or helper.
There are 2 studios, studio1 would have an instructor and helper working with children on a particular medium, charcoal, soft, pastel, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylics, or clay. Studio 2 will have a freeform approach that allows children to follow a theme, but have random ways of achieving their goal.
The dates below are all on the first Saturday of every month starting September 9th from 10am-1pm.
We would like to involve as many teachers as possible so please if you are interested, choose from studio 1 or 2.
Please contact Bob Hernandez at 661-673-7500 for more information. Or visit www.theartree.org.
The dates available are:
