Students, faculty, staff, friends and family members, led by students of Trinity Classical Academy’s Chapter of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), will honor the 2,977 lives that were lost 15 years ago on Sept. 11, 2001, by placing an American flag for each loved one, first responder, rescue worker, volunteer and community resident who succumbed to the deadliest terror attack ever on U.S. soil this Friday, September 9 at 7:30 a.m. on the front lawn of Trinity Classical Academy (28310 Kelly Johnson Parkway, Santa Clarita, 91355). Students will also honor the four American officials who died in the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.

The 9/11: Never Forget Project ceremony will include YAF chapter leadership introductions, Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence and prayer, and then everyone joining together to sing God Bless America. This marks the fourth year Trinity students have participated in the 9/11: Never Forget Project, which is designed to create a community of remembrance, reflection and continued awareness.

“We are so proud of these Upper School students who plan and execute this incredible tribute each year,” said Head of School, Liz Caddow. “Our entire school wholeheartedly supports the 9/11 Never Forget Project and continues to be humbled by those who died, and those who have subsequently lost their lives protecting ours.”

Since 2003, students at more than 250 schools across the country participate in the Young Americans For Freedom 9/11: Never Forget Project each year. This month marks 15 years since the tragic terror attacks in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. and is also the three-year anniversary of the attacks in Benghazi. Young America’s Foundation’s student activists understand the significance of these events to our country and hope to raise awareness about the importance of eradicating terrorism.

Trinity Classical Academy is a coeducational, college preparatory, independent, liberal arts school that was founded on the classical, Christian educational model. The school opened its doors to 28 students in 2001 and now educates over 575 in Transitional Kindergarten through the twelfth grade, making it one of the largest classical, Christian schools in the country.
