shelterhopepetshopWestfield Valencia Town Center in Santa Clarita, California was selected as the third location for a non-profit humane pet shop, “Shelter Hope Pet Shop”. Shelter Hope Pet Shop is a volunteer-based organization that opens and operates pet stores in busy mall locations, and is dedicated to finding homes for rescued pets and providing education and services to the communities they serve.

The non-profit organization, Shelter Hope Pet Shop, announces the opening of a new franchise in Santa Clarita.  Shelter Hope Pet Shop is a charitable, volunteer-based organization devoted to finding homes for rescued pets, promoting animal education and awareness within the community, as well as making a positive impact in the lives of shelter and rescue animals, their adopters, and animal shelters.

Located in busy shopping centers, Shelter Hope Pet Shops provide a fun, friendly place where visitors and volunteers can meet and interact with shelter or rescue animals needing adoption. This retail environment provides a pleasant setting where pets are introduced to people who may have never considered visiting a shelter. In addition to animal adoptions, merchandise such as dog collars, harnesses, beds and other items are for sale, with all proceeds invested back into the rescue efforts.shelterhopepetshop2

The third Shelter Hope Pet Shop will host a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on April 16, 2015 at the Westfield Valencia Town Center, 24201 Valencia Blvd., #1318, Valencia, CA 91355, with welcoming remarks by Santa Clarita Mayor Marsha McLean. Mayor McLean commented, “I am very pleased to see a Shelter Hope Pet Shop located in our community. The services offered are vital in providing resources and finding suitable homes for abandoned pets.”

Dani Caouette, owner of Shelter Hope Pet Shop Santa Clarita and long-time resident of the area, is thrilled to bring this concept to her hometown, noting “I know this city very well and the people who live here are family and community oriented and they love their pets! Thanks to companies like John Paul Pet, I See Spot and Up Country, we will have fun merchandise for pet lovers to purchase and help support rescue”. The Santa Clarita shop will be open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays.

For more information, or if you are interested in volunteering, fostering or donating, please contact Dani Caouette at 661-406-1464
