The Valencia Jazz & Blues Summer Concert Series continues Friday, July 12, with singer-guitarist and series favorite Jim Gibson live on Town Center Drive at the Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall.

Gibson delivers a soulful and intimate performance. His gravelly vocals have a raw and heartfelt southern vibe.
His performances have the flavor of New Orleans, blues, rock, island, R&B, Motown, Americana and a dash of country thrown in the mix.

Gibson has performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and the Lionel Hampton Blues and Jazz Club in Paris. His versatility surges before a live audience.

“I can move any way the wind can blow,” Gibson said.

With the help of a world-class rhythm section that drives the grooves home, Gibson’s singing guitar is like icing on the cake.

Gibson has released three albums of original music and his songs have been recorded by a variety of blues, pop, country and gospel artists.

He recently signed an artist/publishing deal with Chess Records, now known as ARC, the legendary label that was home to Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Chuck Berry, Etta James, Frogman Henry, Jimmy Reed, Buddy Guy and many more.

Gibson’s Valencia Jazz & Blues concert will take place from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Town Center Drive at the Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall.

Admission is free. No outside food or drink. Vendors accept cash only.
