Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Arson/Explosives Detail detectives are investigating a small brush fire that started in the Santa Clara wash, near Magic Mountain Parkway and McBean Parkway, Santa Clarita.
There was no damage to any nearby structures and no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation and is yet to be determined.
No arrests have been made in connection to the fire at this time.

Los Angeles County fire received the call at 3:45 p.m. and were on scene at 3:49 p.m., according to fire officials.
One firefighter who was part of an inmate crew sustained minor injuries in the fire, officials said.
The fire reportedly was contained at 3 acres in heavy brush by 6:50 p.m., officials said.
The cause of the fire, which started in the wash in Valencia, is still under investigation.
Arson investigators were still on scene at 7 p.m.
