California Highway Patrol officers from Newhall are investigating an incident that occurred when motorcyclists on Interstate 210 reportedly opened fire on the driver of a pickup truck early Thursday.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. when officials began receiving calls reporting a collision between Roxford Street and Yarnell Street, according to a CHP press release from spokesman Josh Greengard.
The passing motorcyclists shot at the man, leaving him with a broken windshield and a puncture wound on his arm, the release said.
Officers closed down a portion of the westbound I-210 to investigate and found 9mm casings.
The roadway opened the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes at 5:45 a.m. and the No. 3 lane is still closed to while officials continue the investigation.
