Trump is disappointing because he possesses all of the right tools – a recognizable name, power, money and clear access to the dais and the microphone. But he continues to misuse all of them.
Yes, it’s way past time to be outspoken and start taking the edge off of the ultra-liberal PC garbage that has everyone except that crowd imprisoned. However, Trump’s assets and resources must be used wisely.
Responsibly relaying the message is incumbent upon the messenger. If the relay is harsh, people wince, and communication is diminished.
Taking on the mainstream media (MSM) is heartening. They have become far too biased and allowed to run wild while hiding behind the First Amendment. Authentic “journalists” ask the right questions, topical ones, and do so for all candidates or interviewees, whatever the case may be.
This era’s MSM is so in bed with the “left,” they cannot speak and do not speak if the latest news looks bad for anyone of the left.
There are outlets like Media Research Center for America that track to the second the amount of news coverage on all channels a topic gets, such as Benghazi, Hillary, the IRS scandals, Eric Holder’s failed gun-running operation, abortion clinics and the slaughtering Dr. Gosnell.
The numbers are always eschewed in favor of the left.
That being said, Trump taking on the MSM’s favoritism of the left is to be hailed.
Unfortunately, Trump’s ego spirals him into orbit with no filter, and that’s a bad thing.
One would think with his power and the circles he runs in, he’d be a bit more sophisticated. Shame on me for setting a bar for Trump. I learned long, long ago that money doesn’t translate into class.
Trump could have firmly pointed out the high numbers of rapes and murders committed by the Hispanic “escorts” and coyotes of the illegal aliens without brashly painting most Hispanics as such. A little bit of thought and a more palatable delivery would have gotten the point across. All of the hype that followed was about his tone, and the true message was lost.
Mere days later, news coverage broke of illegal aliens committing murders and rapes, providing him with another opportunity to reiterate a concise, reasoned message on the dire need for securing our borders.
Trump’s promise of deporting 11 million people is worthless with regard to practicality.
First of all, we’ve heard that “11 million” number for years. It’s a strong bet the true number is at least double that. If Trump won a two-term presidency, he’d accomplish little in that time, considering the established legal hoops.
The message of a leader would have been laying out a prudent, clear plan.
Offer some strategy, such as promptly establishing an agenda first to get the illegals identified and registered. Then move forth by concentrating on the worst of the worst to be timely removed. Self-deporting would occur when we cease handing out freebies, as well. Require people physically to come to an office, be identified and verified before receiving any welfare such as food stamps, housing, cash, etc.
A reasonable approach tops just shouting that one person is going to round up millions of people and ship ‘em out.
Trump resonates in a huge way with millions, and it’s easy to see why.
True Americans are watching their county drop below mediocrity.
There’s the failed, expensive educational system; a joke of a justice system; government waste as monumental as the government’s fraud; more and more encumbering regulations; a growing, intrusive tax code versus a shrinking one; IRS employees working with the U.S. Justice Department illegally handing out private information; and lying “elected” and candidates never paying the price of their crimes.
The Lois Lerners prove we have as many crooks on the outside collecting comfy government pensions as we do crooks on the inside whom we also support.
A candid look-listen at Donald Trump shows too many similarities to Obama, at this point, to get my vote.
He doesn’t mention working with a Congress — a must under the U. S. Constitution. We already have a guy on that path.
The two egos are about the same size; Trump is just louder. Obama is “Barry cool” with his anger; he sends one of the lap dogs out to carry the word while he looks for his five-iron.
Their respective skins may be of different colors, but they are equally thin.
Trump’s continued bully attacks on Megyn Kelly are not a positive impression. It’s problematic that he cannot navigate being challenged.
Kelly was a responsible debate moderator and asked the right questions. Considering Trump’s history with women and knowing the volume of the female vote, had she not asked, the debate would have been critiqued as a “soft” engagement by Fox.
How is Trump going to interact with foreign leaders? A seasoned negotiator learns to understand the turf and maneuver accordingly. We already have one clueless Demander-In-Chief.
People should not be fooled into complacency that Donald Trump will take care of everything while they sit back and watch.
Unless Trump can saddle his massive, narcissistic ego and credibly channel his juvenile revenge side, especially for the miniscule stuff, his election ensures a true bully at the bully-pulpit.
Betty Arenson has lived in the SCV since 1968 and describes herself as a conservative who’s concerned about progressives’ politics and their impacts on the country, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She says she is unashamed to own a gun or a Bible, couldn’t care less about the color of the president’s skin, and demands that he uphold his oath to protect and follow the Constitution of the United States in its entirety.

Translation: I wish Trump would be more subtle in his white supremacy.
You’ve got to be kidding me… -_- Racism in Santa Clarita is no secret and this page makes sure of it.
This!!!!
Indeed indeed indeed!
You nailed it Daniel!
I’m fairly confident this woman with the bad Nancy Reagan doo would happily volunteer to lead the Trump brigade kicking in doors in and around, say, the Railroad Ave. areas of Newhall. She’d probably do it in style though. Does Prada make jack-boots?
Yeah Daniel. Have an opinion contrary to a leftist and here come the ad hominem attacks. Translation: I don’t offer any logical counter argument, so I’ll just cry like a baby who’s been “victimized”. #growup
She started it….
You missed the full moon, Suzi. I didn’t know something was “started” by articulating an opinion on current political affairs. Heaven forbid our individuality on matters of importance. 1984 much?
So if one offers an opinion contrary to yours – it’s being a cry baby? Talk out yer butt much?
Reference her original comment, Jared. Context much?
By grow up, he means whine incessantly about “illegals” (borrowing that term from SCVTV!) and blaming those who’ve been most victimized by a capitalist system (INB4 “but if we didn’t have capitalism, who would work and get things done?”). You know… let’s all scream at each other over crumbs rather than demanding that those with the pie share. “Growing up” is all about buying into the “American dream” and the individualistic rhetoric of “choice” (because everybody is in their situation due to the choices they have made, right?!?!). -_- “Growing up” is an ageist form of gaslighting that can hardly be surprising coming from someone who uses the term “leftist” pejoratively. (Y) (Y)
I would offer an argument of substance, but SCVTV is not the place for it. The types of comments this page attracts (and tolerates) is enough for me to know not to take these threads seriously. What’s up with the ableist racism? With white people it’s about trying to figure out what was going wrong with their lives while with people of color, we resort to ableist insults.
Edit: By “ad hominem,” he means telling someone that they are racist/white supremacist. Racists always think the “real racism” is talking about how they’re complicit in racism.
Jared, do you know what the definition of ad hominem is? I’ll give you a hint ; it has nothing to do with Reason.
I rest my case…HAPPY FRIDAY!!?
She’s all yours Jared! LOL
Ad hominem has to do with reason? As if “reason” isn’t loaded in white patriarchy (I won’t waste the effort elaborating since I’m doubtful you think racism or sexism exist). You can quote Oxford or Miriam Webster or any white supremacist dictionary you’d like. Ad hominem is, in simplest terms, when you argue against the arguer rather than the argument (such as telling me to grow up and saying I’m whining like a baby wanting to be victimized ;) ).
Of course, I shouldn’t have to tell you any of this, seeing as you’re apparently familiar having used ad hominem yourself. 8|
You win the Erudition Award for Racial Studies of The SCV. Here is your reward ; ?

I haven’t the slightest idea what you’re saying, William. But I’m sure that’s for the best.
I’m sure EBT is the extent of your intellect, Jared.
I think that was supposed to be an elitist, classist, ableist insult, but I’m struggling to figure out wtf that comment even means. -_-
Completely devastating comeback, Willy. Good thing we have intellectual behemoths like you around.
Jared Gardner It’s a pretty amusing “insult.” In his attempt to pathologize you via a classist/racist and ableist insult, his articulation was most incoherent. (Y)
But hey, he’ll moan some more about “ad hominem.” It should be no surprise that a white supremacist is hypocritical.
I thought I sent you to your room?? you should get out of SCV. There are schools and libraries beyond its shiny borders. OK, I’m off now…have a weekend to enjoy!! Fun playing with your miserable souls. Jared Gardner, go buy Debbie Daniel Downer a drink…
Translation: “If you don’t like it, you can get out!” (Where have I heard this before? ;) )
And is that deliberate misgendering (transmisogyny) I detect?
“Then move forth by concentrating on the worst of the worst to be timely removed”. ? lets start tattooing numbers on them and… Omg.
Omg indeed. -_-
I’ve lived in Santa Clarita for just shy of 25 years and love most things about it… except many of the people, like the one who wrote this right-wing garbage.
Needs more “eye of newt”.
yes spending 6% of our budget on education is way too expensive. I don’t understand how you can be so simple minded to not even mention we spend 55% of our national budget on Military at the moment and somehow we spend too much on education in a country where more and more people are becoming incompetent and lack essential critical thinking abilities due to our lack of investment in education. Shame on you.
#commoncoretho :'( ;)
And furthermore if you have been complaining about the cost of Illegal Immigrants for years but don’t have time to care about the fact that the NFL has been a non-profit for years costing the us tax payer roughly the same amount as illegal immigrants per year. you are a horrible person and need a reality check as to what really matters.
You are right. He should be just like all the Polititions out there who say NO in 4 paragraphs that don’t really say anything. He should learn to talk out of both sides of his mouth so as not to offend anyone, talk about immigration reform like all the others and do absolutely nothing about it. He should watch the rise in Teburculous, Measles, and head lice and look at all the illegal aliens who sneaked across the border and avoided all medical screening. That is what he sould do, just like all the others that keep getting elected. Out of curiosity, who is Betty Arenson
Sounds like she’s your neighbor. You should invite her over for dinner, and a lively discussion…..
.. bird is the word
Now I have face to put to the many article written by B.A.?
Just hearing a lot of murmuring around the office water cooler, seems like democrats and rebulicans are starting to sing the same toon. The left has horrible candidates. Hillary is dying a slow death. Nobody thinks Sanders looks good. Biden who? Oh that guy taking pictures with Obama. All the talk is on Trump and Carson. I think these 2 will team up and be an unstoppable force. The Democrats I know don’t like Trumps harsheness, but also recognize we need a president who will take action. People are so tired of politician bs that they will vote for these guys. Like it or not.
Bernie all day!!
