Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information
Snapshot for the week of 11/17/2014 to 11/23/2014
Last week, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Zone 5 (Valencia).
An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 23000 block of Conde Drive. The suspect was arrested by patrol deputies for smashing a jar over the victim’s head because he was making too much noise. The suspect was booked at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for the indicated charge.
Another assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 24100 block of Valencia Boulevard. Suspect(s) unknown struck the victim with his car as he was walking in the parking lot near the location, causing him to fall over and land on the ground. The victim complained of pain to his legs, but was not taken to the hospital by ambulance. The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction. No arrest was made during this incident.
Three residential burglaries occurred near the area of McBean Parkway and North Park Drive. After receiving numerous calls at the station, patrol deputies responded to the location and quickly set up containment. Deputies were able to effectively search the area and discovered a female Hispanic adult inside a residence. She was arrested by patrol deputies and admitted to three other burglaries in the area.
A commercial burglary occurred near the 26400 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. A male black adult walked into the location and stole two iPhones 6 from a display inside the location. The suspect fled the location on foot and out of view.
During this past week we had four incidents of shoplifting occur at local businesses. Two out of the four incidents resulted in suspects being arrested.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and a safe holiday weekend. Until next week, stay safe and remember all the safety tips we have talked about on a weekly basis. Please remember this weekend is Black Friday, and take that extra step to make sure you safely and securely place you gifts in a safe place.
