[KHTS] -A 32-year-old Valencia man was sentenced on Monday after pleading no contest to one felony count of possession of child pornography.
Shahram Hosseinian was sentenced to two days in county jail, placed on probation for five years and was ordered to complete 30 days of community service, said Jane Robison with the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
Hosseinian, along with Elias Rojas-Dias, 45, of Sylmar, were arrested on July 31, 2015 on suspicion of sending or possessing obscene material, according to arrest records.
Rojas-Dias plead no contest on Sept. 1, 2015 to two counts of possession of matter depicting minor engaging in sexual conduct, or child pornography, said Ricardo Santiago, spokesman with the L.A. County District Attorney.
Rojas-Dias is due back in court on Monday, Dec. 7 for a preliminary hearing.

two whole days in a row. pretty tough sentence don’t you think?
That’ll teach him.
And he will probably get out early for good behavior
Wow. This is why people hate the “justice” system. I met a woman who did more time for not paying a ticket for not licensing her dog. Such bs.
Wow 2 days. Is that what our childrens innocense is worth now a days.. Did it come with a gift card for a shopping spree at the mall after his longgggg sentence?? So sad.
It says 2 days in county, 30 days community service, 5 years of probation, and probably having to register as a sex offender (not mentioned, but very feasible). You guys do realize they post an article along with the headline, right?
yep read the article. 2 days in a row is way too much…is that what you are saying? seems like a small amout of time to me.
Judith Pinto Clearly not what I said, but it’s okay. Figured it’d only be a matter of time before someone was going to put words in my mouth.
I am not saying I agree with the sentence, I’m just saying it’s wrong to only read the headline and make faulty assumptions.
Yes, i read the article. But does those 2 days in jail doesnt constitute justice? in my book when it involves pornography of innocent children hell no it doesnt sound like justice josh. Sorry.
Toni Hurtado Sounds like you’ve read both of my comments with the same amount of effort you’ve put into reading the article.
I think 2 days in jail is a waste of money, if you are going to do anytime at all the min should be 30 days! Even with the other stipulations.
Denise Lee Schumann That’s a healthy opinion. How do you feel about the 5 years of probation and 30 days of community service? Nobody seems to be mentioning ANYTHING about that.
5 years probation could lead to him still hurting another child. Community service isn’t anything. He should be in jail for 5 years minimum with castration.
Johanna Castillo Distributing child pornography and child molestation are two very different charges. A person who got a DUI could drink and drive again after a couple nights in jail and potentially kill somebody. This is why crimes are judged logically rather than emotionally. If we castrated/imprisoned everyone who committed a heinous crime like this, we’d run out of space and money in no time. Do you want your tax dollars to feed these monsters for the next 5 years? At $18,000 per prisoner per year?
Josh I see the point you are trying to make when compared to DUI. But again you say logic right?
Well a guy who gets off on children is just the same as the one committing the actual act. It is sickening and if you can try to determine that having child porn, is not as bad as commiting the act. Well something is wrong their.
And as far as saying 5 years probation and being on a sex offenders list. Well none of those things will stop anything. Also the offender will still be free.
And also although he did not commit the act. The children he was viewing are revictimised every time that is viewed.
Also Josh it is more expensive to have people on probation and parole. Then having them in prison. So yes for this type of crime I really don’t care for the cost as I’m sure most “logical” people won’t care either.
One leads to another. Jail a waste yes, prison is worth it to keep them off the streets for as long as possible. A sex offenders list does nothing too. DUI is another story. We are talking about people with sick urges, they cannot be rehabilitated, community service does not teach them to not look at kiddy porn, sell it or whatever. What about those poor kids in the porn, pics etc? They were victimized. I have relatives that were molested as children, I have zero tolerance. It’s not about getting emotions involved, it’s about protecting our children before something bad happens. It seems as if you are trying to justify it. There is no justification in this case or any like it. Case closed.
Jose Sandobal I respect your opinion, but it appears as though you’re still thinking with your heart rather than your brain.
There’s no evidence to support that these men got off on child pornography, only distributed it. Still wrong, yes. Once again I am NOT downplaying the fact that this is a serious crime and totally immoral. But I disagree to a certain extent. Conceptually, having sexual relations with a child is WAY different than distributing lewd material involving children.
5 years of being able to monitor these Guy’s activity is more influential than you probably think. Not saying it’s a totally suitable punishment, but a punishment nonetheless. However, bearing the stigma of being a registered child molester will follow these men to the grave. They can’t live in certain neighborhoods anymore, and the likelihood of them ever finding a solid career is slim to none. Essentially, their lives are ruined.
There are more suitable punishments for these men. My main argument is relevant only towards those who judged the article based only on what they’ve read in the headline. That’s an awful habit that can lead to unhealthy ignorance in the general population.
Bravo Josh, you have others of educated mind out in the world. Nice to read a comment NOT written by a sheep.
Opinions respected Josh Larson. ?
Bullets are cheap!!! Hanging is cheaper and the rope can be reused!
But 2 days, any amount of probation, and sex offender registering is a damn joke!!! It has not stopped the many who still chose to reoffend while on probation or on the registry! So yes, many of us read the article . The point we are trying to make Josh is that no amount of jail time, probation, registry, fines, etc is worth the price of any child’s innocence!
Sex crime offenders should be put down!!! We put poor loving animals down for less!!!
You will understand someday when you have a child of your own!
Hard time
Pathetic justice system we have!
Why do I see a victimized child in this valley’s future??
Pathetic
Unbelievable ?
Also Josh Larson seems a bit to sympathetic to this type of crime.
Reminds me of the judge who went easy on a pedophile, only to be then “months” later have been found to posses child pornography.
I’m not implying. Just a observation that I have seen before and also in another case where a brother to a victim was sympathetic to the abuser.
Two days? The flu has a longer duration. Yes, I read the article…
This just makes me sick! Two days in jail wth is wrong with our system. ???
Probation and community service instead of more jail time? … What a joke!
Disgusting predator… Beware, he will strike again!
He should get a lot more
Sure justice is getting done. While the guy who smokes pot gets six months
Must be typo or related to the judge.sick.
In another story for SCV another guy got 2 years
The law has always been lenient with pedophiles. I think they should get life without parole. They are the scum of the earth.
All we can hope for is a angry parent and street justice when he does it again….because we all know he will do it again, it’s not a case of ‘if’ .. Two lousy days, that’s nothing.
Hope he is put in the general population. Bubba is waiting
2 days? Wow that pig will really learn his lesson.
Is someone checking these judges for drug use? Looks like they’re high!
