Three players from the Foothill League were selected to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 1 softball team.

West Ranch’s Kylie Sorenson, Valencia’s Kristina Brackpool and Maddy Jelenicki from Saugus earned spots on the Division 1 first team.

West Ranch reached the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs and lost to Santiago Corona, the eventual Division 1 champion.

Sorenson hit .433 with eight home runs and 27 RBIs in her senior season.

Jelenicki hit .576 with nine home runs and 31 RBIs in her junior season.

Two baseball players from the Santa Clarita Valley were selected to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 7 team.

Davis Muxlow from Santa Clarita Christian and Dakota Prochnow from Trinity Classical Academy earned spots on the Division 7 team.

In the NBA Finals, it was the San Antonio Spurs turn to pour it on against the Miami Heat. The Spurs won Game 3 of the NBA Finals, 113-77, hitting a record 16 3-pointers.

Danny Green made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points for the Spurs. The Spurs lead the series, 2-1. Game 4 is Thursday in San Antonio.

In baseball, the Dodgers beat the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-3, and snapped a three-game losing streak.

Tim Federowicz hit a three-run double in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers the lead.

There were two bench-clearing brawls and five players and coaches, including Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig, were ejected. Five batters were hit by pitches in the game.

The third game of the series between the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks is tonight at Dodger Stadium.
