07/18/16

Burglary: 16400 block of Vasquez Canyon Road -An unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence and stole several items. Among the items stole were a television, laptop computer and jewelry.

Burglary: 30700 block of Hume Canyon Road-An unknown suspect stole items from an unlocked structure located on the victim’s property. The items stolen were a Honda quad, Yamaha motorcycle, and cell phone.

Petty Theft: 26800 block of Isabella Parkway-An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a car stereo, and an iPod.

Burglary: 19000 block of Pleasantdale Street- An unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence. The items stolen were a Playstation game system, game controllers and two iPods.

07/20/16

Burglary: 27400 block of Crossglade Avenue-An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked garage, which is attached to the house. Once inside the garage, the suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and stole U.S. currency, two credit cards and medical cards.

Burglary: 26900 block of Flo Lane- An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked garage, which is attached to the residence. The suspect stole two bicycles.

Burglary: 19700 block of Azure Field Drive-An unknown suspect forced open the garage side door and entered the location. The suspect stole an Xbox game system and two firearms.

Robbery:Pleasantdale Street/Walnut Springs Avenue-The victim was riding his hoverboard when he was assaulted from behind. During the assault, the suspect stole his “Segway” hoverboard. The suspects left the location in a white Honda (NFD). Both suspects were male whites.

Burglary: 20100 block of Fairweather Street- An unknown suspect entered the victim’s home and stole several items. The items stolen included a guitar, camera, binoculars, two watches, and U.S. currency.

Burglary: 19400 block of Stillmore Street-An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and stole the third row seat from his 2013 “GMC” Yukon.

Petty Theft:27400 block of Walnut Springs Road- An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole the third row seat from his 2007 “GMC” Yukon.

Grand Theft Auto: 18600 block of Via Princessa-An unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2002 silver “Honda” Civic from the location.

Burglary: 18209 Sierra Highway-An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked garage. Once inside the suspect entered his vehicle and stole a GPS and U.S. currency.

Burglary: 18200 block of Sierra Highway-An unknown suspect entered his attached garage and stole a red air compressor and tools.

WILDFIRE PREPARATION

We just had two major wildfires in our community. It is important that we remember that the fire season is all year now with the recent five year drought and extreme heat we have experienced. It is important to have all your important documents ready in the case you have to evacuate. It is also important to prepare the exterior of your home.

Protect your family, home and property by creating and maintaining defensible space now. Creating defensible space is essential to improve your home’s chance of surviving a wildfire. It’s the buffer you create between a building on your property and the grass, trees, shrubs, or any wildland area that surround it. This space is needed to slow or stop the spread of wildfire and it protects your home from catching fire—either from direct flame contact or radiant heat. Defensible space is also important for the protection of the firefighters defending your home.
