With the recent national focus on strained relationships with the African American community and law enforcement, local civil rights activists and pastors from the Antelope Valley will come together to thank public safety officials.
Representatives from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs, Los Angeles County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol will be honored for their commitment to the Antelope Valley. Guest speaker, Dr. Albert Nicholas of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, will deliver a message based on Romans 13:1 – “Honoring Godly Authority in our Community.”
This event is open to the public and will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at The Growing Valley Baptist Church (44818 20th St. West), in the city of Lancaster.
