Santa Clarita vocalists are invited to participate in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Red, White and Blue Anthem Auditions, held at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Selected vocalists will perform the National Anthem at various 2012 home games, including the 35th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Dodger Day on May 19, 2012, which benefits local schools and nonprofit organizations.
Participants have been asked to enter the stadium gates from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with auditions taking place until 6:00 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. Performers should be prepared to sing a cappella beginning at the lyric, “rockets’ red glare,” of the National Anthem. Vocalists are encouraged to also bring a DVD of their National Anthem audition in the case it is not heard by 5:00 p.m.
Legal guardians must accompany vocalists under the age of 18. Each vocalist is allowed to bring one family member or friend into the stadium and parking is available in Lot G, accessible through Sunset Gate A on Elysian Park Avenue.
