Valencia-based LED light wholesaler Wavien Inc. presented a new “Landscape Image Light” manufactured by Taiwan Color Optics Inc. at the CES trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center Jan. 10-13.

The unique product uses Wavien’s proprietary Recycling LED Technology – a simple, cost-effective way to dramatically increase the “brightness efficiency” of most LED packages.

As one of Wavien’s licensees, Taiwan Color Optics will be launching the sale of this new product that is driven by RLT. The “LI-300” is available now for immediate delivery and pricing is very attractive. TCO has taken great care in the product’s performance, features and versatility. The Landscape Image Light answers both indoor and outdoor requirements and includes a special “Spike-Pod” that allows for contemporary placement indoors or rugged ground installation outdoors. TCO has also included a series of 35mm slide images that follow the theme of most yearly holiday events. A free “do-it-yourself” slide packet allows people to make custom images of their own using a color printer. TCO is also making plans to sell the LI-300 through mainstream store and catalogue outlets.

“RLT is Wavien’s Recycling Light Technology, a compact, low-cost, passive component technology that increases over 2 times the useable light output of conventional LEDs by collecting high angle-LED generated light that would be wasted in conventional illumination systems and redirecting it into a more compact, useful, and brighter beam. The usable LED light output is significantly boosted by the RLT reflector with no additional LED input power required and no decrease in LED lifetime,” stated Dr. Kenneth Li, President and CEO of Wavien Inc., who is also the inventor of the RLT technology.

TCO has developed the unique capabilities of making high resolution GOBOs using their special technologies. They combine advanced coatings and precision optical systems to manufacture the colored GOBOs. TCO also has the capabilities for high performance projection system design and production. A large image projector designed by TCO was completed in 2010, with image size and brightness reaching 1,500″ and 12,000 lumens, respectively. In 2011, TCO released a new product using Wavien’s Recycling LED Technology, in a 1,000-lumen miniature GOBO projection system. “These GOBO projectors could be used for store window projections and subway advertisements, replacing conventional light boxes,” stated Mr. YP Chang, TCO general manager.
