After a multi-agency, collaborative effort and numerous tips from the public, alleged murder suspect Steven Lawrence Wright was taken into custody at a hotel in Boulder City, Nevada.
On Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 11:45 a.m., during their investigation, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Major Crimes Bureau Metro detectives, learned the suspect might be hiding in a Boulder City hotel in Nevada. Detectives requested help from the Federal Bureau of Investigations – Criminal Apprehension Team, Henderson Police Department, Boulder City Police Department, and Las Vegas Metro Police Department who each assisted in the apprehension.
The FBI responded to the identified hotel, where Steven Wright was taken into custody without incident.
No additional charges will be filed against suspect Steven Wright.
Suspect Steven Wright will be held in a Nevada custody facility, pending an extradition hearing.
