Join the City of Santa Clarita in Old Town Newhall on Thursday, Oct. 18, for a “Haunted Harvest” SENSES event, hosted from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Main Street between Market and 6th Street.
The free event will transform Main Street into an eerie backdrop rich in folk tales, myths, and colorful legends with costumed characters patrolling the streets. Enjoy Halloween themed activities, live music from Tasty Thieves, specialty drinks, and gourmet food from trucks like the Currywurst Truck, Slammin’ Slidders, and BSweet Mobile.
“SENSES has become one of the most well attended events in Old Town Newhall and helped transform the area into a local hot spot for community members looking to enjoy a one-of-a-kind event every month,” says Mayor Frank Ferry. “As part of Thursdays @ Newhall, SENSES promises to bring a fun and spooky party to the streets.”
In anticipation of SENSES Haunted Harvest, the new Old Town Newhall Library will paint faces and offer free Halloween make-up tips from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Teens and adults can choose from several scary themes including a ghoul, zombie, witch and vampire. Be sure to get there early as it will continue only while supplies last. For more information about the Haunted Harvest scary make-up program, visit santaclaritalibrary.com.
Since the launch of Thursdays @ Newhall, which kicked off in June 2011 with a 1980s themed SENSES party, the monthly events have drawn thousands of people to the area, introduced new audiences to its restaurants, theaters and shops, and established Old Town Newhall as a unique local hot spot.
