The City of Santa Clarita encourages residents to apply for a position on the Arts Commission made available following the resignation of Commissioner Paul Strickland (below) on May 1, 2013. The unexpired term of office ends on July 31, 2014. All interested parties must submit an application by Friday, May 24, 2013.
The Arts Commission is comprised of five members with an interest in arts issues within the City of Santa Clarita. The Commission advises the City Council and City staff on arts matters, including public art, arts programs, and art events throughout the community.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and maintain their principal residence in the City of Santa Clarita during their term of office. Evening availability is also required.
All applicants must submit three letters of recommendation with their application. The application deadline is at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013. All applications should be submitted to the City Clerk’s office, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 110.
