This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

(1) Residential Burglary, (2) Vehicle Burglaries, (2) Shoplift, (2) Grand Theft, (2) Petty Thefts and (1) GTA.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 19100 block of Soledad Canyon Road. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and took approximately 350 pairs of sunglasses from the back seat. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.

A second vehicle burglary occurred near the intersection of Rainbow Glen Road and Green Jay Place. An unknown suspect gained entry to the victim’s vehicle by tampering with the driver’s side door lock and took a speaker box. Also taken during the burglary was the hood of the vehicle.

A petty theft/shoplift occurred near the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road. A male suspect replaced his old shoes with new shoes and walked out of the location, leaving his old shoes in the new box. The incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station Detectives.

A female suspect was arrested for petty theft/shoplifting near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive when she attempted to walk out of the location after failing to pay for items she concealed in her purse. The suspect was detained by loss prevention personnel and subsequently arrested by responding deputies.

A vehicle was taken near the 27200 block of Marchland Avenue. A 2012 Mercedes E350 was taken from the driveway of the location.

Along with petty theft, deputies working in the Canyon Country West area made several arrests, including charges for burglary and narcotics.
