1903 - President Teddy Roosevelt visits Gov. Henry Gage at Acton Hotel [story]
Acton Hotel

Dean Kaene

Kaene Dean

The parents of a young, teenage girl reported her missing to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Tuesday, July 14, at 9:30 pm after they discovered her missing from home.

Due to the minor’s age, the missing girl was considered to be a “Critical Missing Person.”  Deputies from Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station began a search operation to locate the girl.  While patrol deputies searched the community, investigators checked her phone records.

Deputies called a phone number found on her phone records, and a man, later identified as suspect Kaene Dean, answered the phone.  He denied knowing the whereabouts of the missing girl.

Sheriff’s deputies went to the home of the suspect, where they were allowed inside by the suspect’s parents.  Deputies soon found the victim inside the garage prior to 2 a.m.  The victim told deputies she had been befriended by the suspect the previous day while at a grocery store in the Santa Clarita area and that he had sexually assaulted her.

Suspect Kaene Dean (aka Keane) is a 26-year-old Filipino male resident of Santa Clarita.

Suspect Dean is a registered sex offender due to a conviction for indecent exposure in the City of Glendale. He is on parole for burglary.

Dean was arrested and booked at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau investigators are asking any adults or children who have had contact with Suspect Dean to contact Special Victims Bureau Investigators.

    • Are you saying that the Pillowcase Rapist comes to SCV every Tuesday with his guard to rehabilitate him in our community??

  3. Should be able to look at the Megan’s law website for all that information.

  4. How many chances should we be giving career perverts???!!! Clearly this guy knows how to work a system which has evolved into a ” criminal protection” program.
Now he has another victim to his credit. Be interesting to see where this case goes.

SCV should be held responsible for not providing residents that a registered sex offender ( NOT listed for some odd reason) is their neighbor, and put innocent people and children in danger without their knowledge. It could have been anyone of our children, wife friend or family member. The parents should also be responsible, they know his record and should have been aware of what he is doing in their home.
