Screen Shot 2015-10-16 at 11.44.54 PMThe longest winless streak in Foothill League is finally over. Friday night the Golden Valley Grizzlies ended their 45-game losing streak in league play with a 35-6 blowout of the Canyon Cowboys at Harry Welch Stadium.

The Grizzlies controlled the game from start to finish, mostly on the ground with a stead attack by Jesse Camacho who ran for over 150 yards and two touchdowns, while Justice Onu added two rushing touchdowns of his own.Screen Shot 2015-10-16 at 11.43.08 PM

The defense for the Grizzlies was excellent as they sacked Canyon quarterback Miles Fallin multiple times throughout the game and stopped the Cowboys on fourth and short on two occasions, allowing just one touchdown.

The victory for the Grizzlies is also historic as it also marks the first time the Grizzlies have won five games in a season.
