NorthPark Community Church is gearing up for Billboard artist Cloverton in Concert Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, 7 p.m.
“The Cloverton concert is generating a lot of interest in social media and online events calendars; tickets are selling and we hope to pack the house,” states Stephen Petree, Worship Pastor of NorthPark Community Church. “We are excited because Cloverton is a rapidly emerging name in the Christian music industry, and NorthPark is fortunate to have Cloverton stop in Valencia on their West Coast tour. Cloverton has shared the stage with nationally-recognized Christian bands, like Casting Crowns, TobyMac, Lincoln Brewster, Danny Gokey and many others. And now Cloverton is coming into their own — their music is fresh and unique,” continues Petree.
The concert is being held Friday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. at NorthPark Community Church, 28310 Kelly Johnson Parkway, Valencia, CA 91355.
Tickets are $5 for students, $10 GA and can be purchased online at northpark.com.
“Cloverton’s music appeals to all ages. The songs are driven by Lance Stafford on vocals and piano, leading the other talented musicians, including Lance’s twin brother Layne. Cloverton, playing a variety of instruments, has a rich pop sound reminiscent of Third Day or Cold Play. The lyrics to their original songs appeal to young people in today’s world,” continues Petree.
Cloverton recently released their full length album, “Patterns”, which has received praise from the Christian music industry.
Cloverton propelled onto the Christian music scene in 2011 as the first ever Rock the Camp contest winners hosted by TobyMac and Camp Electric. Soon after receiving this honor, Cloverton scored the #1 most downloaded song in the history of KLOVE radio for their first single “Take Me into the Beautiful,” also climbing Christian Billboard top 25. Cloverton’s version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” went viral with online views exceeding over 1.5M.
Without the help of a record label, Cloverton, consisting of Lance Stafford, Layne Stafford, bass, Conner Giles, guitars and Rains Wall, drums, started with humble beginnings as a small church worship team, and is now a known name on the Christian music circuit. Cloverton continues to pave a new way for independent Christian music.
“None of us are into compromising or settling for the status quo. It’s a daily choice. To what or who am I surrendering today?” front man Lance Stafford says. “We all have a choice to either conform to the worldly patterns set before us, or to pioneer a new way. Each of us is committed to our God given passion and we’re willing to choose a different path to be faithful to His calling. We hope others will be inspired to do the same.”
