How to Keep From Becoming a Holiday Crime Victim

Try to shop during the day, but if you do shop at night, do not do it alone. Avoid wearing expensive jewelry. Do not carry a purse or wallet, if possible. Consider bringing a security travel pouch instead. Always carry your driver’s license or identification along with necessary cash, checks and/or a credit card you expect to use. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash. If you discover that a credit card is missing, notify the credit card company as soon as possible. Don’t assume that you misplaced it and will find it later. Beware of strangers approaching you for any reason. At this time of year, con-artists may try various methods of distracting you, including working in teams, with the intention of taking your money or belongings.

Thank you,
Deputy Betsy Shackelford

Things are not always what they appear Ivan .You are a kind person. People take advantage of nice people like you and ruin it for the rest of us.

Apparently drug dealers use it as an additive to cut powdered drugs with. At least that was what I was told by Ralph’s. That’s why many stores lock it up behind glass now. Ralph’s does. Walmart does. Vallarta does. Formula is about 25 bucks a can. Depending the age of infant that may last a week or a couple of days.

Women who aren’t able to feed their baby with breast milk ( free and cheapest method so why would you steal formula? ) can get WIC from the state or calFresh program

    • Laura Hughes says:

And it was at VONS and it was only the formula not baby food. Another clue it was not a mother in need. Mothers in need know where to go. The hospitals provide all that when you give birth. La Leche league. WIC both put out much info. So I doubt it was a legit mother in need. More likely someone who will turn it over to a dealer or trade it for use by a dealer .

  2. Kallie Mae says:

Ivan, I need $1,000.00 worth of food lol
