The Inland Empire 66ers scored three of their own to walk off with a 4-3 win on Wednesday night at San Manuel Stadium.

Alexander Guillen (0-4) entered the game with a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth looking for his third save of the season. He walked the leadoff man and, with one out, allowed a game-tying home run to Connor Justus. It was his first home run of the seaon. The blown save was Lancaster’s sixth in 11 save opportunities.

Guillen was unable to record another out as the 66ers (12-15) strung together three consecutive hits after the home run to win. Cody Ramer delivered the game-winning hit on a ground ball that got through a drawn-in infield and scored Brendan Sanger from third base.

The JetHawks (12-15) had rallied for the lead with two runs in the eighth and one insurance run in the ninth. Down, 1-0, in the eighth, Wilson Soriano led off with a bunt single and moved to second base on a Scott Burcham bunt. Soriano stole third, then scored to tie the game on a Garrett Hampson fly ball.

Lancaster rallied for another run with two outs in the eighth. Mylz Jones singled on an 0-2 pitch, stole second base and scored the go-ahead run on a Brendan Rodgers single.

Wes Rogers walked with one out in the ninth inning, stole second base and scored the club’s third run on a Hamlet Marte double.

All three runs came against reliever Conor Lillis-White (1-0) who ended up recording the victory.

Lillis-White came on in relief of Jaime Barria who dominated the JetHawks over seven scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits.

Colin Welmon matched a career-high, pitching seven innings in a quality start. He allowed one run on four hits.

The rubber game win gave Inland Empire the series victory and allowed them catch the JetHawks in the standings. The two clubs are now tied for third place in the South Division.

The road trip continues with a four-game series at Visalia. The JetHawks will send Peter Lambert (0-3) to the mound in the opener against Justin Donatella (0-4). First pitch from Recreation Park on Thursday night is at 7 p.m.
