New York – Paramount Network has joined forces with Network Entertainment and award-winning filmmaker Derik Murray for a never-before-seen comprehensive look at the life and tragic death of actor and “Fast & Furious” franchise star Paul Walker.

Due this summer, “I Am Paul Walker” will feature interviews with some of Walker’s most cherished cast-mates and friends who knew him best.

The film will explore Walker’s prolific film career and showcase a side of Paul few knew – from his passion for the world’s oceans and marine life to helping rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake. More details and cast list to be announced in the coming months.

The film is the latest from Network Entertainment’s Derik Murray, who has previously brought to the screen the lives of such iconic figures as JFK Jr, Muhammad Ali, Heath Ledger, Bruce Lee and more. “I Am MLK Jr.” will debut on Paramount Network on April 2.

Murray will once again team up with Adrian Buitenhuis who will serve as Director. Paramount Network’s Jon Slusser and Jaimee Kosanke also serve as Executive Producers.

Walker and friend Roger Rodas were killed on Nov. 30, 2013, in a single-vehicle car collision in the Valencia industrial park.

“(Roger Rodas) was driving a red Porsche Carrera GT at an unsafe speed, approximately 100+ mph, in the No. 1 eastbound lane on Hercules Street, approaching Constitution,” according to the Coroner’s Office report.

“For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle, and the vehicle partially spun around, and began traveling in a southeast direction. The vehicle then struck a curb, and the driver’s side of the vehicle struck a tree and then a light post,” the report continued.

The force of the collision then spun the car around again, and the passenger’s side struck a tree and the vehicle burst into flames, according to notes from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, whose deputies were the investigators first on the scene.

“Investigators determined the cause of the fatal solo-vehicle collision was unsafe speed for the roadway conditions,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Commander Mike Parker said in March 2014, according to CNN.

The posted speed limit where the crash occurred was 45 mph.

Doing 80-100 MPH in a 45 MPH zone and a 15 MPH curve next to a Gym for Children – A church and a school – Pretty stupid, careless and selfish. This should have been the Fatal Finish of the Fast and Furious Franchise – But it is all glamorized – Egotistical – A true inspiration for the Idiot street racers and speeders – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb7YyVbTYyA

Mr. Walker was a passenger and the only victim of the wreckless driver. We don’t know what was going on just prior to the collision. No justification for vilifying both men..

  2. Don’t forget the part about him having an underage girlfriend too.

    thank you so much!! ?

I assume Rob Piersall is Neil Walker”s brother-in-law? Walker has started eight (8) game starts at first base in the majors, 17 at third base, zero at SS, zero in the OF. Any new IF on this squad would have to have positional flexibility, preferably including OF. Everybody on the damn team has played second and first – Gonzalez, Smith, Bruce, Frazier, Flores, Cabrera.have more major league starts than Walker at first base. You often cite DRS numbers for Flores, Reyes and Cabrera at second..those guys all came up as SS. They have never been given steady day-to-day work to get strong with the glove at second.with their SS backgrounds, I think they will all improve on their early 2nd base performances. And Walker is not coming for the major league minimum like AGon or $2 mil like Reyes. He was estimated at 2/$24 in the beginning of the season. The Royals and Orioles are still buzzing around. And he has back issues that clearly affected his range and power.and have had him miss one third of the past two seasons.. Just because Duda and Walker need(ed) jobs doesn”t mean they fit here.Rusty Staub needs a job if you want sentimentality. He can play first. my customer essay
