Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, a non-profit that mobilizes community faith groups in the SCV to assist homeless families, recently announced that after six years at its current Resource Center, they are in need of finding a new site for its offices in order to provide services to homeless families.
The local non-profit is looking for Bridge Housing, temporary housing for families who have graduated from its program and are working towards being self-sufficient.
Do you know of available land, apartments, houses or mobile homes to house families that can’t afford rent?
Family Promise is also seeking volunteers for the following events:
*Easter Egg Hunt – March 24. We have invited families to join North Oaks Church of Christ and then shop for supplies. Contact Diana Ovando-Lopez to help.
*Mother’s Day Tea – May 12. Serve tea and pastries to former and current homeless mothers, and help them shop for supplies. Contact Diana Ovando-Lopez to volunteer.
*Meals and Overnight Hosting. Contact Kathy Brown to provide a meal or stay overnight.
*Office and Admin Help. Contact Roché Vermaak to help with office work, phone calls, admin, and volunteer service.
*Box City 2018. Mark your calendar for Sept. 29.
