Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan announced the first ballot counting update for the Nov. 6 General Election on Friday afternoon.
The update includes 123,003 ballots processed since Election Night, consisting of Vote by Mail ballots.
The total election results count is now 2,098,858, which is 40.36 percent of eligible Los Angeles County voters.
The estimated number of outstanding ballots left to be counted is 934,000 consisting of the following:
* Provisional ballots: 385,000
* Vote by Mail ballots: 537,000 (includes ballots received through Early Voting and VBM Drop-Offs)
* ballots: 8,000 (includes damaged/withheld ballots)
* Conditional Voter Registration: 4,000
This estimate includes additional Vote by Mail Ballots postmarked on or before Election Day and received through Friday (E+3). These results are subject to change throughout the Official Election Canvass period as our canvass staff process VBM envelopes.
The next ballot counting update will be on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and further updates will follow Tuesdays and Thursdays until all votes are counted.
