I’m curious to know why the air quality will be poor and how that is determined. For curiosity’s sake

My Daughter-In-Law sent me the notification regarding the air quality for tomorrow. In Santa Clarita Valley. I have Asthma and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and my breathing is compromised with poor air quality. If at all possible, I would like to get the notifications direct to my email.
Thanks for your consideration.

No wonder my allergies are killin me
So we’re is the reason why??? This is vague annoying information and very unsettling to say
1-800-CUT-SMOG gives hourly reports of smog, by zip code, and defines which pollutant is predominant. Same recording also gives a forecast for the next day.
According to the call I just made, tomorrow’s forecast for zip code 91321 is moderate (not severe) for ozone.
AQMD probably has same info on their website. They have air quality monitors throughout the region.

Pretty stoked our Ayso has now been cancelled today.
Seriously you show a picture of two guys in full hazmat suits? Isn’t that a bit misleading? For those of us who have been here for a few decades we know smog levels today are great in comparison to the pasts. We don’t need reporters to mislead us.
