The Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management with the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the city of Santa Clarita will open a Local Assistance Center at the William S. Hart Park, Hart Hall beginning Friday, August 5, 2016.
The LAC is available to all residents impacted by the recent Sand Fire that burned over 41,000 acres, resulting in the evacuations of 10,000 homes and 20,000 people.
The center will serve as a one-stop source of information including how to replace records lost in the fire, initiate building permit requests and apply for assistance. No donations will be accepted at the LAC.
The LAC is scheduled to be open from August 5 through August 8.
The days and hours of operations are:
Friday, August 5 – 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 6 – 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Monday, August 8 – 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The LAC is closed on Sunday, August 7.
