ststephens50logo2013St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church invites all students from the community to attend the annual “Blessing of the Backpacks” back-to-school service.

Students of all ages are encouraged to bring their school backpacks to the event for a special blessing by The Rev. Kelly O’Connell, Rector of St. Stephen’s.

The service will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10,  at the Church. Holy Eucharist will be included in this year’s service (everyone invited to partake).

Following the “blessing service,” a free Hot Dog and Ice Cream Sundae reception will follow for all attendees in St. Stephen’s Spurling Hall.

St. Stephen’s is conveniently located at 24901 Orchard Village Road near the intersection of Lyons Avenue in Santa Clarita.
