Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(2) Residential Burglaries, (1) Commercial Burglary, (3) Vehicle Burglaries, (1) Theft From an Unlocked Vehicle, (2) Shoplift, (1) Grand Theft and (2) Petty Thefts.
A vehicle burglary occurred in the LA Fitness parking lot located at 26455 Golden Valley Road. An unknown suspect shattered the rear passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and took her purse.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 27000 block of Camp Plenty Road. An unknown suspect shattered the rear passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and took bag containing an Ipad.
A grand theft occurred at the 24 Hour Fitness located at 18645 Via Princessa. The victim left a bag containing several personal items in an unlocked storage locker while working out. When he returned to the locker, his bag was missing.
A petty theft/shoplift occurred near the 18600 block of Via Princessa. The suspect was detained by Loss Prevention personnel when he attempted to walk out of the store, failing to pay for an item. The suspect was subsequently arrested by responding deputies.
