Hello Stevenson Ranch. Here is your weekly report.
A petty theft occurred on the 24900 block of Pico Canyon Rd. The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone which he had left unattended on a table. The cell phone was not recovered. The suspect was arrested for petty theft.
A petty theft shoplifting occurred on the 25400 block of The Old Rd. A male adult exited the store with an item he did not pay for. He was arrested for petty theft.
A burglary occurred on the 26300 block of Mitchell Pl. While investigating a ‘shots heard’ call, deputies contacted the suspect inside the garage of a vacant home. The suspect was in possession of a mountain bike which was reported stolen earlier that night. The suspect admitted to stealing the bicycle from an open garage. After searching the home deputies found Heroin and Hashish which the suspect admitted to being his. He was arrested for burglary and possession of narcotics. An air powered pellet gun was recovered.
A burglary occurred on the 25700 block of Thurber Wy. The suspect stole the victim’s mountain bike from his open garage. The suspect was later arrested when he was seen with the bicycle during the investigation of a separate incident.
A burglary shoplifting occurred on the 25800 block of The Old Rd. The store manager stated that while reviewing security video footage she saw that a male adult and three female adults left the location with 25 cans of baby formula ( worth $800) which they did not pay for. No arrests were been made.
A vehicle burglary occurred on the 25200 block of The Old Rd. person(s) unknown broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole $1,500 in miscellaneous tools.
A grand theft auto occurred on the 24900 block of Constitution Ave. person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked at the location.
Tip of the Week
Protect yourself from being the victim of a garage burglary. Always keep your garage closed and secured whenever it is left unattended. It only takes a second for a thief to go into your garage and take your property.
