Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(1) Rape, (1) Aggravated Assault, (1) Residential Burglary, (1) Vehicle Burglary, (3) Theft From Unlocked Vehicle, (2) Shoplift, (4) Petty Thefts and (2) GTA’s
A residential burglary occurred near the 19000 block of Newhouse Street. A male suspect entered the victim’s open garage and took a bicycle. The suspect placed the bicycle in the trunk of his vehicle and drove away.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 18600 block of Mandan Street. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and took personal items. There were no signs of forced entry.
Two thefts from unlocked vehicles occurred at 20401 Soledad Canyon Road. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicles and took electronics and personal items. Both vehicles were parked in the victim’s carport adjacent to his residence.
Two petty thefts occurred near the intersection of Rainbow Glen Drive and Flo Lane. An unknown suspect cut the catalytic converters from underneath the victims’ vehicles.
A petty theft occurred near the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Loss Prevention personnel detained a male suspect when he walked out of the location, failing to pay for a cart full of groceries. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies.
A petty theft occurred near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Via Princessa. The suspect approached the victim and asked to use her cellphone. When the victim handed the suspect her cellphone, the suspect took it and ran away.
A trailer was taken near the 14 Freeway and Golden Valley Road.
A 1936 Ford Roadster pickup truck was taken from a parking lot located near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Via Princessa.
