The city of Santa Clarita and Santa Clarita City Council hosted a Permit Center Open House on Tuesday, at 4:00 p.m., at the Permit Center, located on the first floor in City Hall, at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.
The event was held to celebrate the services available at the Permit Center and to introduce the new online Permit Guide software, now available for residential projects.
The open house kicked off with a welcome from Mayor Laurene Weste. “Before a building is constructed, repaired, or altered, the property owner is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits. We want to make this permit process easy for you. That’s why the City’s Permit Center, right here, is your one-stop location for all building and safety, engineering and planning needs,” said Mayor Weste.
The Permit Center is open Monday through Friday and offers plan reviews by appointments, previous permit and other public records, permit issuances, inspectors and much more.
“We’re always looking for ways to enhance and simplify your experience. We recently launched a new online Permit Guide software for residential construction projects. The new website is user-friendly and provides step-by-step guidance through the process of obtaining approvals and permits from the City,” said Mayor Weste.
The new online Permit Guide software is available at santa-clarita.com/PermitCenter. The guide is currently only available for residential construction projects but an option for commercial projects is in the works.
