
Tim White caught seven passes for 113 yards and a touchdown in the Cougars 42-19 loss to Mt. SAC.
The College of the Canyons Athletics department is inviting all players and coaches associated with a Santa Clarita Valley sports league to attend Saturday’s football game free of charge.
No. 6 College of the Canyons (2-0) will host Santa Ana College (1-1) with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.
The invite is extended to all local teams/leagues including: junior high/ high school programs, parks and recreation, youth/pop warner football, AYSO/club soccer, club volleyball, little league baseball/softball, swimming, track & field, etc.
Players and coaches who arrive at Cougar Stadium wearing their team’s respective jersey and team colors will be admitted into the game for FREE.
General admission tickets are $5 and kids 10 and under are free.
“We would like to show our appreciation for the tremendous amount of fan support we receive each season by inviting the community to come out and experience Cougar football,” said COC head football coach Ted Iacenda.
Last weekend the Cougars defeated visiting Citrus College 33-20 in front of a large home crowd.
In addition, COC sophomore defensive back Triston Brown has been named the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) Northern League Defensive Player of the Week after returning a fumble 89-yards for a touchdown and later returning a kick 98 yards for a second score.
