In addition, COC freshman Will Barnett carded a score of 71 to tie for the tournament’s top individual score.
Reedley College won the event with a score of 367, following by host College of the Desert (372) and Riverside City College (375) to round out the top three teams. Ventura College posted a score of 380 to place behind Canyons in the fifth spot.
A total of 19 schools took part in the event.
COC freshman Jaeyeol Kim shot a 73 to finish as the Cougars’ second place mark.
David Ennels finished with a 77 and Ben Campbell was right behind him with a round of 78. Matt Cheng carded a 79, while Travis Fay had his score of 83 dropped.
Also competing for the Cougars were alternates Ricardo Torres (78) and Cammy Boomer (84) whose scores did not factor into team play.
The Cougars will next compete in Western State Conference (WSC) Tourney No. 5 at Antelope Valley Country Club on March 21.
