Fausto Arana
United Sports International Inc. and the Futbol Club of Santa Clarita are excited to announce Fausto Arana will replace Jose Meza as the Head Coach of the FCSC Storm of the National Premier Soccer League.
Meza has chosen a different direction and the Storm wishes him all the best and would like to thank him for his time and efforts while he was with the team. Meza accomplished a winning record in slightly over a year with the club, recording 13 wins, 4 ties and 6 losses.
“We are very thankful for what Mr. Meza has done for the club, he was a tremendous help to the organization and we are positive he will be successful anywhere he goes. We wish him only the best of luck,” said FCSC CEO Gerald Brunner.
Arana is in his second season with the Storm’s coaching staff and will now take the helm of the Storm’s lead position. Fausto has 18 years experience in coaching, from youth to college & every stop in between. Plus these last two season in the NPSL. Fausto has coached at the College of the Canyons since 2009 and has recently been appointed head coach of the soccer program at West Ranch High School.
Arana comes to the Storm with Certificates in coaching from the Dutch Soccer Federation (KNVB – Advanced Coaching Certificate in Tactical Match Analysis), as well as an N.S.C.A.A National Diploma as well as an Advance Certificate from N.S.C.A.A. Arana has also coached in the local high schools for over 13 years.
“Arana comes with a great deal of knowledge of the game and ability to read it,” Brunner said. “He has brought a new philosophy to the team & the players are excited at the idea of a new approach, and so are we. We are very confident that he will continue the winning ways that coach Meza had started.”
