The Western Music Association California Chapter is hosting a benefit concert at the Repertory East Playhouse in Newhall on Sunday, November 2, 2014.

Enjoy an evening of great live entertainment featuring music from the hills and valleys of the East to the plains, prairies and deserts of the West.  Susie Glaze and the Hilonesome Band and Santa Clarita trio New West, both tops in their genres, will take you on a journey across America’s musical landscape.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Susie Glaze and the Hilonesome Band kick off the evening featuring Susie Glaze, Steve Rankin, Rob Carlson, Mark Indictor, Fred Sanders. Folkworks Magazine voted Susie Glaze and the Hilonesome Band #3 in Folkwork’s Top Ten Live Acoustic Bands in Southern California for 2008 writing “Susie is justifiably endorsed by Appalacian music legend Jean Ritchie and the band has a fine repertoire of beyond bluegrass originals from its chief songwriter, Rob Carlson. They can take you up in the hollars or sound like a female fronted Asleep at the Wheel.” (Larry Wines for Folkworks)

New West follows featuring Mike Fleming, Raul Reynoso and David Jackson.
