Canyon Country West: Zone 7

Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information

Week of 04/06/2015 to 04/12/2015

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

An aggravated assault occurred near the 18700 block of Bainbury Street. During an argument regarding a dog, the suspect grabbed a kitchen knife and began swinging it toward the victim numerous times. The suspect fled the location prior to the deputies arrival. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A petty theft occurred near the 19600 block Crystal Ridge Court. One suspect was arrested for attempting to smash the rear window to a residence. During the investigation, burglary tools were found, and two fixed blade knives were found. The suspect was additionally charged for those items. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A shoplifting occurred near the 27200 block of Whites Canyon Road. One suspect entered the location and stole numerous sandwiches from the display and left the location without paying for the items. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A shoplifting occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. One suspect was arrested for stealing store items and leaving the location without paying. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
