Castaic/ Val Verde Crime Report- Week of October 17, 2016

The following crimes were reported this period:

10/17/16

Petty Theft- 32000 block of Autumn Oak Court

The victim reported miscellaneous coins stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.

10/17/16

Grand Theft- 28000 block of Oak Valley Road

The victim reported a backpack, miscellaneous coins and a Tag Heuer brand watch stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.

10/17/16

Grand Theft- 28000 block of Oak Valley Road

The victim reported several bags of clothing and shoes stolen from their unlocked vehicle. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.

10/17/16

Commercial Burglary- 27000 block of Live Oak Road

Unknown suspects shattered the front door to the business. An inside door was also damaged as well as the door to the safe. The crime occurred at 3:50 a.m. Nothing was reported stolen.

10/19/16

Petty Theft- 31000 block of Castaic Road

The business reported a “tip jar” containing approximately $20 was stolen from the front counter. The crime occurred at 10:00 p.m.

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
