There is still time for Santa Clarita Valley-based nonprofit organizations to apply for funding through the City of Santa Clarita’s Community Services and Arts Grants Program. Applications for available funds must be submitted to the City by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17. No late applications will be accepted.
The City’s Community Services and Arts Grant program is designed to help local non-profit organizations support innovative and crucial programs and projects that serve residents. Grant information and applications are available online at http://www.santa-clarita.com/grants.
“The City’s Community Services and Arts Grant Program provides annual funding to help support Santa Clarita-based organizations offering vital community services,” said Mayor Laurene Weste. “The grants provide an excellent opportunity for local nonprofits to explore new programs, enhance existing ones, or expand operations to serve a wider audience.”
The Santa Clarita City Council made $150,000 in funding available for the Community Services and Arts Grants program to help support one-time projects, program enhancements and pilot programs in 2014 and 2015. Past grant funding has been awarded to assist with equipment upgrades, after school enrichment programs, facility renovation projects, community art projects and performances at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.
