In a musical holiday extravaganza, the award-winning Hart High School Show Choir will perform “Nightmare Before Christmas” in a whole new way. Rather than bringing the performance to the stage, attendees will be led through a sequence of scenes each telling a piece of this fun holiday story. Groups of 20 will be escorted on their adventure every 20 minutes from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 and between 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Hart High School.
This year Hart Show Choir is offering two special performances:
The first performance each day – 3 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday will feature an American Sign Language interpreter.
There will be an early performance each day – 2:30 on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday – for those guests with special needs, who would like their own time to enjoy the show.
“Hart’s holiday performance is unlike anything else you’ll attend this holiday season,” said Show Choir Director Gail Hart. “Our show choir performers truly bring the story to life in a way that will delight people of all ages.”
Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 general admission. Tickets also will be available at the door, but tour times are subject to availability. To purchase tickets in advance, contact Ms. Hart at ghart@hartdistrict.org. Attendees are asked to select the hour during which they’d like to attend. Their tour will leave sometime during their designated hour. Guests will enjoy entertainment, photo booth, free crafts and raffle while waiting for their tour to depart.
During the holidays, Hart Show Choir students are caroling at events and parties throughout the community. For information about booking carolers, contact Ms. Hart at ghart@hartdistrict.org.
The Hart Show Choir is the oldest and largest program of its kind in the Santa Clarita Valley with 170 students. It is completely self-sustaining through the multitude of fund-raising efforts of the performers and their families.
