Decorated with fun embellishments such as puffy paint, tulle fabric, feathers and even bubble wrap, artist Georgette Arison’s mixed-media art in “Dressing Up is Fun,” the newest art exhibit at the Newhall Community Center, uses unconventional methods to showcase costume design. The art exhibit is free to visit and is on display for the public to enjoy until Feb. 14, 2019.
“I am passionate about using accessories and embellishment. I am currently studying Costume Design with an emphasis on wardrobe and millinery hat design,” says Georgette about what inspired her work.
Georgette Arison has been involved in numerous arts and crafts fairs such as the Pasadena Bead and Design Show and the Harvest Festival. She specializes in leather tooling, silk painting, millinery, wearable clothing art and illustration. To learn more about Georgette, please visit georgiegirldesigns.wordpress.com.
