A series of forecasted storms have prompted officials to close multiple recreation areas and roads to ensure public safety with the predicted heavy rain in a series of winter storms.
Rowher Flats and Drinkwater Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) areas are closed. As are the South Fork, Big Rock, Gould Mesa and Coldbrook campgrounds along with the Bridge to Nowhere Trail are closed until the storms pass.
Additional closures may be implemented at any time based on storm impacts.
Staff will assess the conditions following the storms and decide then whether these areas can be reopened for weekend use.

L.A. County Department of Public Works and Caltrans officials have closed the following roads: Lake Hughes Road 10 miles south of Elizabeth Lake Road to Newvale Drive, Glendora Ridge Road from Mt. Baldy Road to Glendora Mountain Road, Highway 2 from Islip Saddle, Route 39 to five miles west of Big Pines Highway.

ready or not, the rain is here!!!
Figures after so many people dyeing at rowher they lock it up when it rains. I have had some amazing times going through Rowher in the rain and even snow.
