Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary will host a nondenominational Service of Remembrance and a toy drive for children in need on Dec. 10 in the Chapel of the Hills in Newhall.
The service and toy drive will take place at Chapel of the Hills at 23287 North Sierra Highway in Newhall. A musical prelude with a performance by the Valencia High School Choir, directed by Christine Tavares-Mocha, will begin at 6 p.m. with the service beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone in the community is welcome to participate in this special time to reflect and remember loved ones who have passed on.
In addition, Eternal Valley is proud to participate in the toy drive for children in need in the community sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. New and unwrapped toys can be brought to the Service of Remembrance or dropped off at Eternal Valley any time between Dec. 2 and Dec. 21.
“As we approach the end of another year, our minds are filled with memories of years past and loved ones who are gone,” Curtis Woods, III, general manager of Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary. “At Eternal Valley, we realize that this may be a difficult time of year for families and friends who have lost a loved one recently. Our Service of Remembrance has become a tradition that brings comfort and support to many in our community.”
The service will be led by Pastor Bill Haley from First Christian Church in Canyon Country and Pastor Geoff Beck from Grace Baptist Church with soloist James Meske from the Valencia High School Choir. As part of the service, Eternal Valley will show a memorial pictorial tribute including photos of loved ones who have been lost.
Families may submit a photo to be shown during the tribute by bringing the photo to the mortuary by Dec. 4. Refreshments will be served following the service. All guests who plan to attend are requested to RSVP by calling (661) 259-0800.
