[District Attorney] – A suspended basketball coach at the Albert Einstein Academy in Santa Clarita was arrested today in Washington, D.C., on charges he sexually molested five boys, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Randolph Jackson (dob 3/14/87) was arrested on a felony complaint filed Feb. 13 charging him with a total of 20 counts in case BA433664. Prosecutors will ask that his bail be set at $840,000. He is awaiting extradition.
Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller with the Sex Crimes Division is prosecuting the case.
Jackson is suspected of molesting five boys between the ages of 13 and 17 at various locations in Los Angeles, the prosecutor said. The complaint alleges the incidents occurred between November 2010 and January 2015.
Jackson is charged with eight felony counts, including one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, one count of oral copulation of a person under 16, three counts of attempted oral copulation of a person under 16, sodomy of a person under 16 and two counts of lewd act on a child. He also is charged with 12 misdemeanor counts, including nine counts of indecent exposure and three counts of child molesting.
If convicted, he faces more than 30 years in state prison.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
